Davido and Dele Momodu finally end their 2-year old beef at Ovation Red Carol

Last night at the 10th edition of the Ovation Red Carol in Lagos, Magazine Publisher, Dele Momodu and pop star, Davido finally ended their 2-year old beef.

Davido wrapped up the night with an amazing performance where he apologised to the veteran media mogul over their beef that escalated in December 2015 when Davido tried to take his daughter, Imade out of the country away from his mother but Dele Momodu prevented it.

Burna Boy Granted A Bail

5 things you need to know about the singer's court appearance

We bring to you five things you need to know about Burna Boy's appearance in court.

Burna Boy was arraigned on Monday, December 18, 2017, at a Lagos state magistrate court, in Ikeja over accessory and conspiracy over the attack on Mr. 2Kay.

He was brought before the magistrate at about 2:50 pm, thereafter his trial began in the presence of law officers and the press.

1. Burna Boy appeared in court in a Lexus SUV with plainclothes officers. His case hearing took place at the Magistrate Court 1, at the old secretariat building in Ikeja.

2. The court clerk read the charges levelled against him which were two in number, first was "Accessory to the fact" while the second charge was "Hoarding of information." According to the clerk, Burna Boy knew what transpired at Eko Hotels and Suites on the day of the attack on Mr 2Kay.

3. When asked he was guilty, Burna Boy pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge.

4. He was then granted bail with someone to stand as a surety and 100,000 Naira.

5. The case was then adjourned to Friday, December 29, 2017.

Kiss Daniel served court papers

After weeks of hide-and-seek, pop star, Anidugbe Daniel, aka Kiss Daniel, has finally been served court papers by his estranged label, G-Worldwide Entertainment.

A Federal High Court in Lagos had on November 30, granted an order that all parties should maintain the status quo pertaining to the contract that was initially signed in 2013.

 

However, Daniel had allegedly refused to personally receive the court papers for some weeks, which led the court to grant an order of substituted service, that the papers should be pasted on the gate of his house in Lekki Phase Two, Ajah-Lekki, Lagos, and in a national daily.

According to the label, the court papers were pasted on Daniel’s gate on Friday,  December 15, 2017.

Meanwhile, in the writ of summons served on the artiste, the court ordered Kiss Daniel to make an appearance before it within 30 days of receiving the court papers, or the case would go to trial in his absence.

Other papers served on the ‘Mama’ singer include: order for substituted service, writ of summons, witness list, witness’ statement under oath, status quo order, among others

Calls put through to Kiss Daniel were not answered, neither was a text message responded to as of the time of filing this report.

   

 Kamal insisted that he wasn’t fired via social media. He said, “Davido didn’t give me the sack via social media.
“He was in Gabon when he wrote ‘I am now my own manager’ on Snapchat. Funnily, I was the one who drove him to the airport. “ Before then, we had had conversations about moving forward and I realised that what he wanted was different from mine.  Bad news in the entertainment Industry as the renowned song writer Saxes Busulwa passed away in 12th of December 2017  morning in Rubaga Hospital Kampala.

The Hip pop Award winning song writer has been sick for sometime struggling with illness until 12th of December 2017 when he gave up his ghost and died.

Nollywood actress, April Joju speaks on police brutality

Nollywood actress, April Joju Muse has revealed that the police officer that attacked her two days ago, paid ten thousand naira to fix her car glass.

She shared a video of the man angrily breaking the glass of her car in order to pepper spray her face during the confrontation.

The Lagos state Police Force had earlier released a statement saying the officer had been dismissed, and April has now confirmed that he also paid for the glass he broke.

She wrote on Facebook, “Two reasons I’m grateful. The gas could have been a gun; the man could have been lynched. Either way, a life could have been lost. And the situation was savaged before it could be taken advantage of.

“But then I ask, if I wasn’t able to get a video clip, would it still have been in my favour going by the way the “Mopol” tried to turn the table around? So many have fallen victim and have been wasted, forgotten.
